ATTENTION PARENTS, EDUCATORS, AND INDIVIDUALS SEEKING CLARITY ON LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT

Unlocking Potential Through Comprehensive Assessments

Even If You’re Unsure Where to Start or Don’t Have a Referral

Our Assessment Services

At Mind Potential Psychology, we provide thorough assessments that offer valuable insights into cognitive, learning, and neurodevelopmental differences. Our team conducts in-depth evaluations to help individuals, families, and educators better understand unique strengths and challenges.

We offer a range of evidence-based assessments designed to bring clarity and support:

  • ADHD Clarity & Focus Assessments: Gain a deeper understanding of attention, impulse control, and executive functioning. Our assessments combine clinical interviews, standardised testing, and behavioural observations to determine ADHD-related challenges and effective management strategies.
  • Autism Spectrum Insights: Our ASD assessments are designed for children, adolescents, and adults, using structured observations and gold-standard tools (such as the ADOS) to assist with a diagnosis and practical support strategies.
  • Cognitive & Learning Performance Evaluations: Identify intellectual strengths, learning difficulties, or giftedness with our cognitive and educational assessments. These help guide school accommodations, tailored learning plans, and developmental support.

What Cognitive Assessments Are Available?

Mind Potential Psychology offers Cognitive Assessments for children, adolescents, and adults across a range of developmental areas, including cognitive testing for IQ/intelligence, learning difficulties, and/or cognitive functioning, as well as assessments for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Why Choose Our Assessments?

  • Gain clarity on cognitive, behavioural, and learning differences
  • Receive comprehensive assessments tailored to your individual circumstances to support potential diagnoses and personalised recommendations
  • Access professional guidance for educational and workplace accommodations
  • Support therapy, intervention, and treatment planning

What Do Cognitive Assessments Include?

All of our assessments start with an intake session. If the client is a child, this will be conducted with the parent/s. During this session, your psychologist will explore your functioning, abilities, and developmental history. You may also be asked to complete some questionnaires. This process allows your psychologist to gain as much insight as possible into your functioning and tailor the assessment to your individual needs.

Following the intake session, a time will be arranged for your assessment session/s with the psychologist. The time required for these sessions will vary depending on the assessment/s being completed. Sessions typically take between one and two hours.

After completing the assessment/s, your psychologist will proceed with scoring and report writing. A feedback session will then be scheduled. During this session, the psychologist will provide a copy of the written report and discuss the results and recommendations in detail.

Cognitive Assessments are tailored to the individual needs of the client, so pricing will vary depending on the specific assessments required. Please contact our reception team with your enquiry, and we will assist you in navigating the most appropriate assessment pathway for you or your child.
